2012 FINESMITH MUSE WINNER

Sunday the 2012 FineSmith Muse was named. It could not possibly have been an easy decision for the judges because the models were truly amazing. See their photos at the FineSmith Flickr here. Below are photos of the inspiring model who won, Miss Shinobu Istmal.

Each model was asked to tell about the inspiration for the outfit chosen. Here is Shinobu's story:

Shinobu’s inspiration came from a scene from "The Country of Gold and Silver," a story she wrote.

A long, long time ago, there were a Gold Nation and a Silver Nation, and the two countries were constantly at war. Today is the day that celebrates the unity of these two nations that was only made possible by the love of two people who were born in these two nations who were brought together by fate.

The Queen's dress is an amazingly beautiful gown made with gold thread that came from the Gold Nation and silver thread that came from the Silver Nation. Let us celebrate this day, reconfirming how happiness can only come from unity.
